During my PhD I was made aware of the amazing work that Rape Crisis England and Wales and sister organisations perform, and fundraising for them is just a small way that I can pay them back.  

Rape Crisis organisations are criminally underfunded and provide essential services for people at their most vulnerable.  In 2017-18 Rape Crisis England and Wales's services were accessed by 78,461 individuals, an increase of 17% from 2016-17.  They provided in excess of 650,000 sessions of specialist support, including advocacy, emotional support , and counselling, an increase of 44% over the previous year, all during a time of austerity and savagely reduced forms of support.
