On 1^st October 2016, a group of 8 ladies from the Clarkson Evans Head Office – Emma Duncombe, Olivia Hughes, Gemma Martin, Tracy Jackson, Becky Merryweather, Lesley Thomas, Rachel Vale and Meghan Jackson, will be participating in the Gloucestershire Runway Run in aid of Clic Sargent. We are putting down the calculators (and the doughnuts), putting on our trainers and ‘running for the finishing wine’.

When most of Accounts’ idea of running is how quickly we can get to the bar, you can tell this will be a challenge – unless you’re Emma who does a marathon every weekend!

This event takes place on the Staverton Airport Runway in Gloucester
at 7:30pm on 1^st October 2016. The event consists of running or
walking 5km around the runway after dark - All aircraft are cleared and the runway is lit up. Please feel free to come along and cheer us all on as I’m sure we’ll need as much help and encouragement as possible on the day!

Clic Sargent is a registered charity that provides vital emotional, practical and financial support to young cancer patients and families during and after treatment. They work to raise awareness, influence change and help lessen the impact of childhood cancer. They undertake research into the impact of cancer on children and young people and use this evidence to raise awareness and to seek to influence government and policy-makers, and those who provide public services across the UK, to help change things for the better for children and young people with cancer.

We hope to raise at least £600 to help Clic Sargent to continue their valuable work. We would really appreciate it if you could sponsor us to help us reach our target.
