8 brave staff (4 Inquest & 4 MDH) will be dressed in dog onesies and orange t shirts, blindfolded and dumped in 4 separate secret locations in the middle of the night on Sunday 21st December. These locations will include a Town centre, a 15th century cemetery, a haunted building and a secluded woodland. They will have NO money, NO mobile phones, NO transport and NO food. But they will be equipped with a first aid kit, 3 bottles of water, 3 protein bars, a poncho, a foil blanket and a camcorder and NOTHING ELSE!
Each team of 2 will then have to complete 5 challenges over 3 days and nights during their 200+ mile trek back to Manchester Dogs' Home, they will collect items at various locations to ensure they do not cheat, these items will be needed to complete the fourth challenge which can not be completed until after midday on 24th December, Christmas Eve, the final challenge will be a group exercise, (IF they all make it back!!!) which CAN NOT BE DONE till the evening, this will be to take food and blankets to some of our residents of Manchester and the surrounding areas, to those who are homeless with a canine companion.
Each team will be GPS tracked at all times to ensure their safety.
Each person will be able to take with them 3 items from the list of 10 below.
1. Sleeping Bag 2.Tent 3.Cigarettes 4.Tobacco 5. Lighter 6. Deodorant 7. Fresh Socks 8. Toilet Paper 9. Hair Brush 10. Papers. EACH PERSON will be SEARCH prior to leaving to ensure NO contraband is smuggled!!!

The objective is to raise peoples awareness to dogs that are either homeless and wandering the streets, alone, hungry and frightened, or in a dogs home, at the festive time. All funds raised will be used by Manchester Dogs Home to help pay towards emergency treatment and emergency vet care that a lot of the dogs that arrive at the home so badly need. PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY.
in the event of EXTREME weather over the dates then 2 teams of 4 will be sent from 2 locations.
