Participants: Joining Kate Simmons on the run will be a team of colleagues from Geyer and Valmont. Kate is a valued member of our team, and we are delighted to be able to support her in work and at the Olympics by running and fundraising on her behalf.
The Kuringgai Chase is the major fundraiser for the Special Olympics Sydney Upper North Shore Club. SO is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion & community, supporting athletes of all ages to participate in grassroots sport.

Story

The Special Olympics Upper North Shore Club is part of a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community in which every person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. 

"The Special Olympics play an enormous role in bringing athletes together and allowing them to learn team spirit, interact, negotiate, and have friendships. I think sport is one of the few areas or platforms they can do as people with an intellectual disability." Special Olympics Syndey Upper North Shore parent.
