We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

Hello!! We’re the GFI Giga Byters!! Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.

We are a team representing GFI Software Ltd. at Edinburgh Byte Night 2013. On Friday 4th October, we will be joining 1,500 others from the IT and business community to sleep out under the stars (errr who are we kidding, more likely in heavy rain and gale-force winds since we're in Scotland!).

Our aim is to raise vital funds on behalf of Action for Children, a charity that tackles the root causes of youth homelessness - we're sleeping out to try and ensure that others don't have to.

Our goal is to raise £5,000 and we are prepared to work (and play) hard to earn your donations. Not only are we sleeping out on October 4th in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, we have challenged oursleves to cycle 2,191 miles on an exercise bike in the office - that's the distance from GFI's Edinburgh office to our HQ in Valletta, Malta! We reckcon it will take us approx 6 weeks if we each average 40 miles per week. Do you think we can do it?!

We are also very excited about our evening fundraiser at Le Monde, George Street, on Thurs 12th September - more details to come shortly!

Young and vulnerable children in the UK need our help - yours and mine - and together we can help make a difference. Please dig deep and donate some money!!
