The Petty Pool Trust is a truly inspiring place, working tirelessly to find suitable and permanent jobs for young people with learning disabilities.

Their ethos is 'everyone can do something' and they seek to find what each individual can do, and has an interest in doing, and from there provides them with the specialist education they need to take on the given job and to equip them for independent living.

I'm sure most of us take independence for granted. It may not sound like much to those of us fortunate enough not to need Petty Pool's support but independence, to any degree, is a major ingredient in having a sense of purpose and belonging in this world. The thought of not having this simple thing in life doesn't bear thinking about and that is why I want to raise as much money as I possibly can to help support the less fortunate children in our country.

We mustn't forget also, that in providing some degree of independence for disabled children, Petty Pool in turn provides the opportunity of a rest and some respite for the amazing people who provide care around the clock.
