Giants Group of London Charity Walk 2018 · 16 September 2018

Southall Black Sisters was set up in 1979 to help black (Asian, African and Caribbean) women escape domestic violence. We provide advice, support and welfare services. We run campaigns to bring about changes in the social, religious, economic and cultural pressures that bring women to our door.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Members, family and friends of Giants Group of London are walking 10km to raise money for Southall Black Sisters - a charity that is made up of a group of black and minority women with years of experience of struggling for women’s human rights in the UK . They aim to highlight and challenge all forms of gender related violence against women, empower them to gain more control over their lives; live without fear of violence and assert their human rights to justice, equality and freedom. They run an advice, advocacy and resource centre in West London, offering specialist advice, information, casework, advocacy, counselling and self-help support services in several community languages, especially South Asian languages.

The participants of the walk from Giants Group of London will be of all age ranges and will dedicate a Sunday morning to raise these much needed funds for a worthy cause.

Thank you very much for your generosity.
