Story

In November I will be taking in a gruelling 11-day, 235 mile Inca Trail cycle challenge in Peru. I am taking on the challenge in memory of my cousin Michael, who sadly passed away suddenly last Christmas, and to raise vital funds for Aberlour Child Care Trust. We loved to cycle together every day so I know this is a challenge he would love to do to.

I recently visited the Aberlour Family Service in Aberdeen where I met the team and some of the families they support. I heard all about their amazing work in helping disadvantaged children all over Scotland, but more specifically what they do locally with the money raised by supporting fundraisers. Their passion for helping children who don’t have the best start in life is exceptional and motivated me, even more, to raise money for them.

I am paying all fees associated with the trip myself so all 100% of all sponsorship money I receive will go to Aberlour to support Scotland’s children and young people. Every donation will make an impact and is very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, it means so much to me.

About the charity

1 in 4 children are living in poverty in Scotland. That isn’t right. Not all children are born with an equal chance. We know that by working together we will beat poverty and discrimination. With your help, we will reach more children and their families earlier, before it’s too late.
