Story
Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is an international charity working to save species from extinction. Established by author and conservationist, Gerald Durrell, in 1959, Durrell’s overall aim is for more diverse, beautiful and resilient natural landscapes in which species can thrive and people can enjoy a deeper connection with nature. This approach concentrates on the most threatened wildlife in the most threatened places.

For the first time I've visited Jersey Zoo in 2016 simply because it was one of the main attractions on the island and yet it managed to steal away a tiny piece of my heart... and I can't still say what it was in the first place - cute animals, beautiful nature, hard work of keepers, their hospitality or local atmosphere... I just know that it's a good happy place! :)
Therefore, I would like to support my happy place (life-long project of Gerald Durrell and hard work of brilliant keepers) by participating in this year's Durrell Challenge and raising funds.
I was never a runner (hopeless case and not ashamed to admit it) but it won't stop me from walking those 13km even if it will be in the speed of a snail or a turtle! I did it once! And I will do it again! :)
So if you feel like supporting this great initiative, don't be shy and click "donate" button!
And remember - every single donation, no matter how big or small, helps to raise funds for Durrell’s vital work to save species from extinction!
THANK YOU! :)
