Story
Moving on from Triathlons and long distance cycle rides I though I would mark the end of my 5th decade with a 126km non-stop ultra-run.
I could have travelled somewhere exotic to attempt this feat, but instead, I am going to run around our own iconic city following London's Capital Ring on Sunday May 6th 2018 https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/walking/capital-ring in aid of the amazing Charity GIFT!
This circular route includes Richmond Bridge, Crystal Palace, Woolwich Foot Tunnel, the Olympic Park and the world famous Hendon Park (just 5 minutes from my house!).
Would you like to keep me company for some of the way? I will be leaving Hendon Park by Shirehall Lane at 4.45am on Sunday 6th May 2018 and travelling anti-clockwise at around 5 mins 30 secs / km. My major milestones are:
5.00 am - Hendon Park
9:00 am - Pembroke Lodge, Richmond Park (pembroke-lodge.co.uk)
10:45 am - Balham Station - On the Northern line
1.45 pm - Eltham Palace - a great English Heritage day out http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/eltham-palace-and-gardens
3.00 pm - Woolwich foot tunnel 4.45 pm - Princess of Wales pub - 146
