Hello,
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! Starting on the 10th of February we will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro - all 6000 bone-shaking metres of it. We're putting ourselves through this to raise money for Project Harar, a small and dedicated charity that helps rural children with facial disabilities access medical care.
They do fantastic work - it costs just £250 for a child to get treatment helping them to eat, speak and smile. You can read about previous success stories here. If we reach our fundraising total, forty children will get access to life-changing treatment. Anything you donate goes straight to the projects in Ethiopia, so please give generously. Justgiving is totally secure and please remember to tick the 'gift aid' box if you're a UK taxpayer, which adds 28% to the value of your gift at no extra cost to yourself.
If you want to follow our slow, painful progress up the mountain, you can keep visiting this page, or sign up to the website at www.projectharar.org or the facebook page here - apparently you can get mobile signal even on the top of Kilimanjaro, so we'll be updating during the climb.
Thank you very much for your support!
Giles and Andy
p.s. People have been amazingly generous so we've raised our fundraising target to £15,000 - the extra five thousand will pay for twenty more children to get treatment. Thank you all!
