Cardiff Half Marathon 2019 · 6 October 2019 ·
I’m running the Cardiff Half Marathon in memory of my husband who sadly passed away on the 25th December 2018. He battled for many years with illness but always enjoyed life and his holidays. He was my best friend and I miss him everyday but I want to complete this half marathon and raise as much money as possible for the District Nurses in Penarth. Their support and care for my husband and me during his last week at home was amazing. They called everyday to check on us both. So please give what you can to help them with their duties as they support patients and families in and around Penarth area. They provide an invaluable service to the community. Your donations never replace NHS funding; they support projects over and above what the NHS can provide. Last year, the amazing #TeamHealthCharity runners more than 80 of them!- together raised £32,000+. They made a difference to: paediatric intensive care, stroke services, orthopaedics, emergency medicine, maternity, neurology, cancer services, breast care, spinal injury, cystic fibrosis, cardiac medicine, leukaemia, rehabilitation services the list goes on, and so does the impact of this money.
