Gill developed Wet Macular Degeneration later in life and 'Talking Books' from the RNIB was of great comfort and help to her.  She said that "....it kept her sane..." during the COVID 19 Pandemic.

In her will, Gill asked that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the RNIB Talking Books programme.
