Story

I don't have a difficult story of my own to tell you, but I know many people that have.  If I can do anything to help people I know or ANY sick child, whether I know them or not - even if it does involve throwing myself off of an incredibly tall building - I will.

As a member of the CSR group at work, I'm particularly interested in helping our officially supported charities.  At Dehns Patent and Trademark Attorneys, we make an effort to support a local charity each year that benefits the community around where each office is based.  This year, in the Brighton office, we have chosen Rockinghorse Children's Charity - an amazing charity that is best known as the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton, and a vital supporter of the neighbouring Trevor Mann Baby Unit.  They also work in partnership with local hospitals, respite centres and specialist children's services throughout Sussex.

The i360 is a viewing tower on the Brighton seafront with a giant glass pod rising from ground level to 450ft / 138m from which I will be climbing (pushed) out.

I am simultaneously excited and terrified to be taking on this challenge and although I don't have too much fear of heights, something like this does induce a feeling of falling - which I do have a fear of!  And this is...well...high.  Really, really high.

Please help me to raise money to help this charity help sick children in our area.  Or just sponsor me to be an idiot - whichever takes your fancy.
