In February 2013, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Its been a tough journey and the battle is constant and ongoing.  I am very lucky to be surrounded by a loving husband, fabulous family and I know I have the best friends anyone could ever wish for. My walking companions, Jennifer, Val and Wendy (aka Gillandco) are three very special friends, who have 'been there' constantly and have offered me so much love and support at each and every stage of my journey.

The care I have received from my local GP's surgery, my consultant and staff at WGH, Edinburgh has been outstanding.  I owe them all so much.  Gillandco do this walk to raise as much money as possible for Target Ovarian Cancer, hoping that it can be used to fund crucial research into early diagnosis, more effective treatments and of course, a cure for ovarian cancer.
