I was overwhelmed and delighted when Laura asked me to be a Trustee of this Charity. John was a very special person and lovely friend and we were so sad when he was diagnosed with this dreadful disease.

Fundraising to help awareness and research into brain tumours is something very close to my heart as my dearest brother Alan also died of a brain tumour at the age of 39.

So, a New Year and a new challenge and this time the Great Wall of China with seven amazing ladies - its going to be tough but also huge fun!

Training began this week and I will be keeping everyone posted as to how that is going and the tough schedule my lovely PT Sam has in store for me!!

She did a great job in getting me ready for my last two challenges - Ben Nevis and Icelandic Lava Trek. Laura and I also climbed and summitted Kilimanjaro in 2014 - one of the most amazing challenges so far - despite seven nights in a very small tent!!
