Royal Parks Half Marathon 2018 · 14 October 2018 ·

We're a volunteer-run dog rescue in Stoke-on-Trent that rehomes furry-friends.To cover everything from food to vet bills and toys, we heavily rely on many public donations. From playful pups to seasoned seniors, every tail has its story, and with your help, we can make it a woof-tastic tale of joy.

Story

I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to fundraise for Pebbles Legacy Dog Rescue.  Pebbles Legacy was founded to honour the life of one dog, who found herself in need of help.

Pebbles' full story can be read on www.pebbleslegacy.co.uk.  She had a terrible start in life and when those involved in her rescue realised that many more dogs were in the same situation, they wanted to offer them the same second chance that she had.

So Pebbles Legacy was born. They have rehomed many dogs, including 25 so far this year. They are not breed specific, but it is mainly bull breeds that come into their care. Based in rented kennels, the charity relies totally on the generosity of the public, who donate food, blankets, toys, and money. They attend regular events with their stall, and host themed evenings to raise funds. They hope to educate the public and dispel the unfair misconceptions that surround rescue dogs, bull breeds in particular. Based in Staffordshire, they have rehomed dogs up and down the UK, and are always looking for fosterers willing to offer their homes to a dog in need.
