Mayday is a call for help. Usually, RNLI lifesavers answer mayday calls and go to rescue others. But today, with a busy summer on the way, its they who need YOUR help. The Mayday Mile is a way to answer their call.

Story

Over the last few years Abi and Evie have been raising funds for the Bridlington Branch of the RNLI. To date they have raised over £4200. The girls with the help of their mums are taking part in the RNLI Mayday mile,  but instead of 1 mile the girls have decided to complete 100 miles each and persuaded the mums to complete it also.

The girls will be starting their walk in Bridlington with a walk from Sewerby hall to Fraisthorpe, with many more walks to follow.

If you can spare a few pounds to help the girls and mums please do.

Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.Thank you.
