The five of us usually meet up on a retreat twice a year at the Dru International Study Centre in Snowdonia along with 50 other people.  We are all trained yoga and meditation teachers so have been studying and developing our practice together for over two decades now.

We are all passionate about promoting peace so when we realised the the five of us would all be reaching our 70th birthday this year we decided to celebrate by raising money for Peace Education.  Each of us will walk 70km and then hand the Light/baton on to the next birthday celebrant.

The World Peace Flame was created 22 years ago, and along the flame, burning at permanent sites around the world, there are various projects including Peace Education Packs.  We are asking people to sponsor our walk so that the packs can be translated and printed in more languages.  We also hope to see a supported online course developed.  You can see and get the packs and find out more at either the  UK or the NL websites  www.worldpeaceflame.co.uk   www.peace-education-in-action.org
