Almost 5 years ago, one of my dearest friends received a devastating diagnosis. She was initially diagnosed with breast cancer but after treatment, it very quickly became apparent she had secondary tumours. These have since spread to various parts of her body. She is a fighter and inspires me every day with her strength and determination to remain positive . She has been supported in her journey by various cancer charities and I feel it is imperative that in our own way, we all do what we can to raise funds and awareness so that support can be delivered where it’s needed. Liz and I spent many years working and training together. She still loves to walk as much as she can and I know she will be with me every step of the 26 miles…. Love you Liz 💕
