I'm taking part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk Mighty Stride (21 miles) in September with my lovely volunteering friend Marie, to raise funds for the amazing place we met each other, Ponies Help Children!

I thought I was just going to be doing my little bit to help out and give me something to do here! Little did I know how big a part of my life they would all become, how much support and friendship I would get, and how much joy it would all bring me. It's a truly wonderful place where everyone - ponies and humans, old and young - are accepted for who they are! And the affect that the ponies have on the children is astonishing. 

So Marie and I are pulling on our trainers (and kilts) and hoping to raise some vital funds to help out! We've done our first training walk already, it was meant to be 12 miles but we got a bit lost a few times so it ended up being almost 15 miles! 🤣
