Story
Gill McMullen is a parishioner at Holy Family Church in Southport. Her late husband, Vin McMullen, was CAFOD's first Regional Co-ordinator in the Liverpool area. He was a lovely gent and very well liked and, without doubt, made a crucial contribution to the development of CAFOD. The charity is still close to Gill's heart. All the teddies are knitted by Gill personally and are approx 28cm tall in a variety of colours. Siobhan Farnell is the current CAFOD coordinator in Liverpool and is supporting Gill in selling the teddies.
Minimum donation for a teddy is £3 please but if you would like to donate more we would be very grateful. If you live in Formby or Southport the teddy can be hand delivered to you. We can arrange for Teddies to be posted if the postage is paid.
***To obtain your teddy please email Siobhan Farnell on sfarnell@cafod.org.uk or phone 07779804241 (Siobhan is generally available Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.30pm). Donations need to be made to this JustGiving page please.
It's easy to feel helpless during this coronavirus crisis, but we are determined to ensure no one is beyond the reach of the support they need to survive and thrive. We can build on the knowledge and experience gained from our work fighting Ebola to ensure our local experts are as ready for the coronavirus as they can be. Our ongoing work to provide clean water, hand washing facilites and training to communities in need will be critical. Whatever you can afford to donate, your gift will make a significant difference to our crisis response as we stand alongside our brothers and sisters. CAFOD is proud to work with people of all faiths and none.
