Gina and Lou's Bupa Great South Run 2014 Challenge

Bupa Great South Run 2014 · 26 October 2014 ·
We took on the GRIM challenge last year and this year we are running the Bupa Great South Run on Sunday October 26th to raise money for an amazing cause. Our friends Tom and Sue's little boy Harry was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2013 and the Help4Harry fund was started by them to raise money to help Harry and other children like him.
Harry is a happy fun loving little boy right now but by his 10th birthday it is likely he will be in a wheel chair and his upper body will then begin to shut down due to this rare and painful condition leaving him locked inside his own body. As a muscular degenerative disease eventually his heart and lungs will fail, almost certainly before he is 30. There is no cure, it will happen and it is 100% fatal
But we can make a difference, there is a large amount of research currently taking place in the UK and abroad but as yet the only treatment is a steroid program to help manage the disease.
Please find out more about the very cute Harry and his very lovely family at www.help4harry.co.uk
Thank you so much for your help, we really do appreciate your support
