Story
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, especially as I realize that you are probably bombarded by similar email requests all the time.
I still don't quite understand how something that started as an argument about UK county geography could have escalated into a family cycle challenge. But, come August, there we will be: my wife, two sons, aged 13 and 15, and I cycling the mainland from toe to tip. 1000 miles in under a fortnight. Our buttocks may never be the same.
And why raise funds for TB Alert? Because this charity makes a real impact both in the UK and abroad.
Tuberculosis is a completely curable disease, yet remains the greatest global infectious killer - largely amongst those who cannot access care: the poor and most disadvantaged. TB Alert provides medication, education, and support in a way that tangibly saves lives.
In the fortnight it will take me to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats, 50,000 people will die of TB. Please help in any way you can.
£25 will provide full treatment for a patient. But anything you can give will help to save lives.
