Child of Hope is producing a huge social impact for children and their families in Eastern and Northern Uganda through free education, healthcare, clothing, food and welfare. Each donation goes to our work in the slums of Mbale and Karamoja and gets straight to work improving lives and communities.

Story

+ NEW THANK YOU VIDEO BELOW!!  +

Moses and Bex are in the UK at the moment, for their annual visit to the churches and familes that support their Child of Hope charity. It is this low key, home grown support that has helped them to build a really strong school that takes in 200 children every day. The school is in the middle of a slum and Child of Hope work solely to make life better for these kids, their families and anyone else they can reach out to in the slum.

They have a medical van (when they can afford it) that goes out into the alleyways to help people and they try to teach mothers and fathers how to sew and support themselves in micro-businesses. They also save children who are suffering unimaginable abuse when they have the money to do it.

I met Moses and Bex when I responded to their request for a coach to help them to grow the charity. I have been working with them for a year now via Skype. I have never ever seen them despondent or deeply stressed. Sure they get worried, sad and angry but they keep going and they know they are these kids best chance of a better life

So I am getting up at 6 am in the morning to train for this race in the Olympic rowing lake in Dorney trying to put in a decent time and raise some desperately needed funds so Moses and Bex can build another floor on the school and take in more children.

They are such good people and really deserve to have some of the financial pressure taken off them. They believe the money will come but there are days when this belief must be hard to keep hold of. I would love them to have the money they need so they can expand more of this amazing work they are doing in this small, very needy pocket of the planet. Thank you.
