Story
Hello
THANK YOU for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.
- Who is mad enough to do a 24 hour danceathon?
- Ginny P (Philosophy/Maths teacher) & Becky B (Registrar)
We did it!!!!
With a lot of help from family, friends, colleagues, pupils, their parents, neighbours, Big Ted and a visit in the early hours from Pepper the dog (complete with flashing collar).
The Headmaster started the glitter ball turning at 8am on Friday 18 October and it continued until 8am on Saturday morning whilst we danced for 24 hours at The Paragon School, raising money to support the pupils' charity of choice, The Forever Friends Appeal which coincided with Big Ted's Day Out.
The charity funds projects that make a real difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients cared for by the Royal United Hospitals as well as the friends and family who visit them. Typically they fund new and additional equipment, research and innovations, as well as finishing touches and 'extras'. Projects range from funding a wonderful neonatal care unit to toothbrushes for paediatrics and equipment to help with mobility for an eleven year old boy who has cerebral palsy.
We would be so grateful if you could show your support by donating to this very worthy and local cause. In turn you would also be providing us with the much needed boost in our recovery:)! It's was not easy!
We very much appreciate your support.
Thank you for reading and 'keep dancing'.
Ginny and Becky (Team GB aka - (temporarily slightly broken) Dancing Queen and Dancing Diva)
