Story
I've been a patron for CoppaFeel! for the last 5 years and have headed up these treks for that whole time. What started as one trek a year has turned into two, and this year we're hoping to raise a massive £1,000,000 for the charity - all from walking and talking. I can't believe we're so very close to our target.
These treks mean so much to me. Through them I've met the most incredible people, heard some fascinating stories and am endlessly inspired by life and the world around us.
We walk to raise money and to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer that can so easily be overlooked.
We walk to ensure people check their boobs and chests and know their normal.
We walk so that people know to go to their doctor if anything changes and they can be given an early diagnosis.
We walk because an early diagnosis can be life saving.
So, onto this little adventure... I, and 120 other trekkers, will be taking on 100km of Morocco's forbidding Sahara Desert in a bid to raise vital funds towards our life-saving mission. It's going to be hard in the heat, and I'm going to be doing all I can to keep the sand out of my boots!!! Eek!
Your donations will not only support my fundraising target and give me an emotional boost, but (most importantly) it'll help CoppaFeel! carry on with their vital work. To find out more about CoppaFeel! head to www.coppafeel.org.
Thanks so much for your donation & support.
Big love,
Gi. xx
