31st Derby Sprint Triathlon · 18 September 2022

NAT started in 2007 when there was an overwhelming need to house asylum seekers whose cases had been refused. We began with a couple of houses and now, in 2022, we manage over 20 properties, housing around 50 residents, whilst offering the holistic support people need to rebuild their lives.

Story

Hi everyone!

I'm Charlee and I truly hate running. Seriously, it's the worst thing I can think of doing.

So I decided to run a Sprint Triathlon in Derbyshire...In one months time...2 days after a works do...Pray for me.

Earth shattering panic attacks aside, I'm really excited that at the same time as my knees are exploding I will hopefully be raising awareness (and possibly some funds) for an amazing local charity that support asylum seekers with housing whose cases might have been delayed or even refused.

They started in 2007 and now manage over 20 properties and are currently housing around 70 residents whilst offering the holistic and emotional support people need to rebuild their lives as £40.85 is all an asylum seeker gets to live on per week. In this current cost of living crisis, that does not go far.

But as I said that's where the lovely people at Nottingham Arimathea come in!

If you haven't already please give their website a look and follow their social media as what I've said doesn't do this charity justice!
