Malala Fund is working for a world where all girls can learn and lead without fear. Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai founded Malala Fund in 2013 to champion every girl’s right to 12 years of free, safe, quality education.

Story

For those of you who don't know us, we're the girls who shock the Starbucks baristas when we ask for 6 shots of espresso in our Caramel Macchiatos... those of you who do know us know to stay well clear until we've had that first sip of coffee!

We decided to challenge ourselves to give up not just coffee, but all caffeine for a whole month - yup, we don't know what we're thinking either, this is not gonna end well...

The Malala Fund works in the parts of the world where girls miss out on education the most. They identify problems like poverty, war and gender discrimation, and set about finding solutions - by advocating for policy changes or by running programmes on the ground to help those in need. If you need any more convincing, check out their website, or the hundreds of pieces of research on the benefit of education for all...

To make this even more exciting for you all, we'll be keeping a video diary so you can track our slow and painful deterioration into a caffeine-less lifestyle. We apologise in advance for all of you have to deal with us day to day too! (Don't worry, this will probably be the end of our friendship...).
