Half-Term Hunger. Can you Help? · 24 October 2020

GL11 Community Hub (GL11) is a vibrant, local community project in Gloucestershire. Our services are inclusive and accessible, we design programmes that are universal and targeted, responding to community need and social issues, we support people locally who need it most. People who have experienced discrimination, are lonely or socially isolated, lack family support, are dealing with trauma and anxiety, or have short or long-term difficulties in life. Established in 2001 GL11 has built up a strong track record in four key strands of community focused work: • Improving health through well-being activities for vulnerable people of all ages. • Increasing trust and belonging by mixing social groups, generations and abilities. • Social impact with supportive, progressive and empowering volunteering opportunities. • Personal development through skills improvement, employability and entry-level training/education.

Story

400 children in Cam & Dursley will go hungry without their free school meals this half term.

GL11 are working in partnership with Stroud District Council who are generously providing £1,200 to help cover this cost, but we need another £800 to make up the shortfall, can you help us?
