Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Ok, so as a team (7 riders + 1 support driver) we are going to ride from the Wescot office in Glasgow to the Wescot office in Hull. This is a total of 260 miles! (418 kilometers).

Our aim is to complete this ride in 3 days; Saturday 25th, Sunday 26th and Monday 27th June 2022. We should complete around 100 miles on day one, 96 miles on day 2 and the final 64 miles on day 3.

The route includes plenty of climbing; 10750 feet in total (3275 meters)….so over 3 times the height of England’s highest mountain! (Scarfell Pike = 3210 feet).

The ride itself is all to raise funds for charity; and our chosen charity is Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men

1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

More than 47,500 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year – that's 129 men every day.

Every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 11,500 men every year.

Around 400,000 men are living with and after prostate cancer.
