I am running the 2024 London Marathon because I want to help Meningitis Research Foundation achieve their goal of a world free from meningitis and septicaemia.

In classic London Marathon style, I am completing my Hattrick of 2007,2019 and 2024 in my 50th year. (Not there yet though!). 

As some of you will know I run for #TeamMRF because when I was a very young child I was seriously ill with meningococcal meningitis. It very nearly claimed my life.

Luckily, thanks to the amazing medical treatment I received, I made a full recovery and am now in a position to try to give a very small something back to the team at MRF to help support their vital research and work in improving treatment of this awful disease. Despite major progress, children are still dying of this disease and we need to stop that.
