Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Global Lingo London are adding their weight to the fundraising efforts of Stuart Ridley, a 25-year-old farmer and rugby player from Northumberland who has recently been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. The Brain Tumour Charity is one of two charities Stu has chosen to raise money for during this challenging time.
The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours, which are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. Over 9,100 people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour each year; over 500 of these are children and young people. 25% of these will die - one child every three days.
Research offers the only real hope of dramatic improvements in the diagnosis, treatment and management of brain tumours. Over £500 million is spent on cancer research in the UK every year, yet less than 2% is spent on brain tumours.
