In October 2018 following a routine mammogram I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Fortunately, due to Cancer research it was proven that my form of cancer did not response to chemotherapy, so my treatment involved surgery and radiotherapy, meaning that by May 2019 I was given the all-clear, and then my relay journey began.

Relay has allowed me to engage with my creative side in decorating bras, hats and bunting, meaning I have unofficially been nominated as the Creative Director for the team 50 Shades of Age.

I have bonded with some lovely new people and made firm friends along the way, whilst knowing I am giving something back to Cancer Research.

I have received tremendous support over the years and my thanks go out to all of you who have donated. I hope you will continue to do so in 2026.
