Story

Watch live: Saturday August 3rd 2019

Daniel Koulikourdis:

All my life I have seen cancer impact my family and friends and unfortunately take some in the struggle.

We are raising money in support, to help those fighting cancer, like my Grandmother who fought bowl cancer at 80 and won, she is now going strong in her early 90s! I also have a couple of friends that have had close calls in the past but we’re lucky enough that it was caught early and treated.

However my wife’s friend Peter John Shaw was not so lucky, cancer took him too early when he was in his second year at University.

This is for them and everyone who’s fighting. Please give anything you can. Even the smallest amounts will help a fantastic cause.

Mike Philpott:

Even though cancer hasn't affected me directly or my family it has affected my close friends.

Two of these said friends are Dan and John that i will be doing the event with. I feel this a fantastic way for me to help such a great cause and support my friends in the process.

John Millar:

Cancer has affected everyone in one way or another be it immediate family or friends. Sadly in January of 2012 it took my grandfather, Norman Millar.

A man that was a major part of my life and was a huge role model to me. He was 100% someone I could always lean on, rely on and trust to help me. Now it’s my turn to help him in his memory.

Dan, Mike and myself are doing this for a great cause, not only to remember lost loved ones but for friends and family who are fighting right now.
