Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Nicola and I have decided to dust off our trainers and challenge ourselves to get fit and complete the Great North Run 2017.

2017 marks the TSA's 40th year as a charity so we we decided to cover 40 miles including the great north run, a trek through the lovely derbyshire dales and then a family run with Cole and Myla to finish.

Nicola is also doing a fire walk at the annual TSA event in September so hopefully this will not impede the training plan too much...

We wanted to do something firstly to raise some money for the TSA who have been very supportive and a useful resource for us since our son was diagnosed with Tuberous sclerosis.   Cole was 7 months when he was diagnosed and since then it has been a rollercoaster ride with very uncertain outcomes, but despite all the challenges Cole remains a very charming and happy little boy.

Tuberous Sclerosis is a genetic condition that causes non-cancerous tumours on major the organs which causes epilepsy, learning difficulties, autism and sleep/behaviour issues.
Despite this Cole's talking is coming on, he is very active and enjoys being outdoors and although our world is challenging he trys to join in with our version of normal life.

Please help us raise money to help the TSA continue the great work and research that will enable the genetic condition to be better understood and controlled.  There is loads more information on the TSA website (follow their link on our page)
