All money raised before 17 May for Tearfund's Matched Giving Appeal will be doubled by the UK government, up to £3 million, to transform lives in some of the worlds poorest places.

Story

After a hiatus from timed running and just doing a maximum of 5k most weeks, I have set myself the challenge of running both the London and Belfast marathons (7 days apart) and over the course of 2019 running more than a 1,000 miles.

The money I raise for Tearfund's Matched Giving Appeal, before 17 May, will be doubled by the UK government, up to £2 million. All donations will be used by Tearfund to transform lives around the world where the need is greatest.Match funding from the UK government will be used by our partners in Pakistan to set up innovative waste recycling hubs. Not only will these hubs help tackle waste and plastic pollution, they will provide sustainable livelihoods and improve the living conditions in some of Pakistan's poorest slum communities.Every £42 doubled could provide waste collection for two families like Rubinas, making their local environment cleaner and safer.

I would really encourage you to not only support me in this effort but to invest in lives around the world.
