Story

From the Chaplain:

Thanks for taking the time to visit Godolphin's JustGiving page for the 2020 Alabare Sleepout. We'll be grateful for any sponsorship you can spare, however small.

Students and staff from Godolphin brave the elements at Salisbury Cathedral every year and sleep out in the cloisters as part of the Alabare Big Sleep.

Some years it is sub-zero; Last year, cold rain seeped into sleeping bags,
along with a whistling wind around us . Each year we are amazed at just how unforgivingly cold the stone floor is but Godolphin is usually the largest single group, with Mrs Hattersley and Mrs Price among our rough sleepers.

Sleep will, I suspect, be severely limited, but it's great to work with such super young people and for such a good cause. Society is so often negative about  teenagers: it dubs them the snowflake generation, but Godolphin girls throw themselves into this event with real conviction and compassion. Please support them and me if you can and spare me a thought on 7th February.
