Going Far Going Nowhere · 13 April 2020

Irish Hospice Foundation is a national charity that addresses dying, death and bereavement in Ireland. Our vision is an Ireland where people facing end of life or bereavement, and those who care for them, are provided with the care and support that they need.

Story

While we stay indoors, I wanted to try and do something to help the wonderful people of the Irish Hospice Foundation.

13 weeks ago, my mother passed away, and whilst she didn't make it to the Hospice, the care and support we received from their Palliative team in St. James Hospital was amazing.

On Monday, the 13th of April;
  • I will cycle 100 km on an Indoor Trainer.

  • If my mind and/or body has not broken by then, I will try to keep these lycra legs spinning for 100 miles...
  • After that, I'll lash into some very sugary tea and see if that gets me any further.
My family are forever grateful for the kind and compassionate care we received from the staff of the Irish Hospice Foundation in caring for my Mother.

So, if you can,

please help me to help them, by going far going nowhere!
