For 31 years, Rainforest Concern has helped to protect more than 2.2 million hectares of native tropical forests and the vast biodiversity they contain. We have worked with 21 partner organisations and 8 indigenous groups in 12 different countries.

Story

During our circumnavigation of the world, we will be passing through some of the glorious tropical rainforests of South America and Africa.  It is a troubling thought that at the current rate of deforestation, within 30 years, these forests will be gone forever.

Every four minutes, an area of rainforest equivilent to one football pitch is destroyed by human activity.  By cutting down these forests, we are not just damaging the environment in these distant lands, we are destroying the very future of our species in return for short term gain.  We simply have to find another way - to ensure that forests are worth more standing than they are felled.  Rainforest Concern works with local communities to do just that.

Please donate what you can, and also engage others in discussion about this important issue.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Rainforest Concern and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please, donate something now, no matter how small, and help us find ways of preserving our planet for future generations..

Thank you for your help and support.
