Be a Big Kid for Childhood Day · 26 June 2020 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Each year many golfers across the UK kindly support the NSPCC by donating at events or hosting Golf Days in aid of our work, but this year has brought its challenges. And these challenges have also been felt by children across the UK where home isn’t a safe place, with anxieties exacerbated by their lockdown situations and without their usual support networks in place.

On Friday 26th June, it’s the NSPCC's Childhood Day which aims to bring people together to celebrate childhood, so we are asking if all those teeing-off could ‘drive and donate’ £4 to the NSPCC on this page - a donation which could pay for a Childline counsellor to answer one life-changing call from a child plucking up the courage to reach out for help. And it would be great to include which club you're part of too!

You could even take the theme further and Be a Big Kid with a show of fancy dress or a celebratory jelly and ice-cream tea after your round! Visit www.nspcc.org.uk/ChildhoodDay for more ideas!

Whether you have been able to make it onto the course or not on Friday 26th June, the NSPCC would love your support to show that we are all Still Here for Children at this crucial time – and on behalf of those children we help, thank you so much, it's hugely appreciated.
