Goodbye Mermaid Hair · 16 October 2021
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On October 16th 2021 I’ll be cutting off the mermaid hair that I’ve been growing for two years (but probably more like 3-4 looking back through photos) and donating it to the wonderful charity The Princess Trust who make free wigs for children who need them. Such an amazing charity doing amazing work.
I’ve pledged to donate a minimum of 8 inches for The Princess Trust but it wouldn’t be as much fun without a little FUNdraiser would it, so that’s where The Teenage Cancer Trust come in!
The Teenage Cancer Trust are another amazing charity doing much needed work for young people with cancer. Having previously volunteered for them at fundraising events, I’ve heard first hand just how much donations mean to them and will also be helping them set up for the Michael Josephson Charity ball in Manchester on October 8th.
As I said above, the minimum hair donation I’ll be making will be 8 inches and for that my fundraising target is £100 for The Teenage Cancer Trust, but for every additional £100 raised there’ll be an additional inch cut off, up to a max of 12 inches!
Meaning the more that I raise in sponsorship the more that both of these charities will receive to help in their work, so I would really appreciate any sponsorship amount that you can afford.
£100 = 8 inches
£200 = 9 inches
£300 = 10 inches
£400 = 11 inches
£500+ = 12 inches
And, as The Teenage Cancer Trust are my employers charity partner of the year, every penny that is raised by this will get matched by them (doesn’t count towards the inches coming off 😆) but that means every £1 I can raise by doing this will be worth £2 💕
