Moray Coastal Trail · 24 June 2022

Homeless people may have nothing - not even a mug - when they get a new home. When a new tenancy get’s off to good start, it’s much more likely to work well. We help them get started on day one with the small essentials to eat, sleep, cook and clean, and the Packs are really big. Lots of items have to be new and people donate gently-used items which can go into the Starter Packs, so we're helping the environment, too. We started in 2008 and we’re run entirely by our great volunteers.

Story

Gordon & MacPhail's nominated charity of the year is Moray Fresh Start. Based in Elgin, Moray Fresh Start supports people who have been homeless and are moving into thier new tenancies by providing packs of basic household items that make a new beginning.  They also support other people in times of need, such as coming home from hospital or other emergency situations.

The challenge - On Friday 24th June 2022 a group of colleagues from Gordon & MacPhail are undertaking a massive challenge to raise vital funds for Moray Fresh Start. Starting at Benromach Distillery in Forres, colleagues will complete a 31.7 mile walk along the Moray Coastal Trail finishing up at Spey Bay!
