Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Gordon Cowan saddly passed away on 1-4-97 aged 25years old

Season ticket holder at his beloved Motherwell FC, qualified referee, keen goalkeeper and golfer but most importantly a gentle giant.

For several years a group of his friends played golf for a memorial trophy in Gordon's memory

In 2004 we decided to start raising money to help others at the Beatson.

We are now in unprecedented times and our Charity Golf day and Charity Ball were cancelled in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and we still managed to raise over £20,000 bringing our total over the years to £294,000 in Gordon's memory which is incredible for a small humble town like Lanark

Every penny raised goes to the Beatson Cancer Charity at the wishes of the Cowan family

Thank you for any donations you can make and Gordon's memory lives on at the Beatson helping others.
