I like most of you have witnessed the effects of cancer and have been fortunate enough to remain outwith its grasp.  That is why I have decided to cycle from my place of study Abertay University, Dundee to Glasgow on the 22nd of November.  

I recently had the pleasure of reading Lance Armstrong's book 'Its Not About The Bike' and couldn't help but feel totally inspired by his story.  It made me wake up and realise that everything is not gonna just be ok and its not a case of it will never happen to me just because I say so.  

Due to my dodgy ankles I can't really run without constantly being sore and moaning to my mates so I have been trying to get fit by cycling.  I thought I should really challenge myself for the first time in my life and try to help a very good cause at the same time.  From that inspiration and my usual jump in without thinking attitude I said I would cycle the 100 mile journey from Dundee to Glasgow to raise money for Cancer Research UK which isn't really something you can just back out of.  

If you could find it in you to donate It would be appreciated and make the suffering a whole lot easier to cope with.....Aye right.  Make sure and tick the Gift aid box as the government will give an extra 28p for every pound you donate. I'll update my page with some photos of me training over the next few weeks for your amusement.
