A Gala Dinner · 7 November 2019

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Tonight's Gala Dinner is funding ear and facial reconstruction research at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. Organised by La Ruota Internazionale and Microtia UK, this event will be directly supporting the development of kinder treatments for children with ear and facial deformity.

Bringing together research and clinical expertise, Professor Patrizia Ferretti (Professor of Regenerative Biology at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health) and Mr Neil Bulstrode (Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Lead Clinician for Department of Plastic Surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital) aim to find less invasive ways to build personalised cartilage for children and improve the outcomes of reconstructive surgery.

With thanks to the Italian Ambassador and Signora Trombetta for generously hosting this wonderful event.
