RBC Race for the Kids 2019 · 12 October 2019 ·
We're taking part in RBC Race for the Kids for the seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Great Ormond Street is a Research Hospital. The Division of Research & Innovation works with staff across the hospital to facilitate and support research. This includes early phase, interventional clinical trials as well as a range of research studies taking place on our wards and theatres and in our laboratories and clinics. In the last year, we have supported over 1,300 research projects, with over 3,800 children and families taking part. Through this, we have supported the adoption of new medicines for children into everyday clinical practice, improving and saving the lives of seriously ill children at GOSH and around the world.
We are passionate that research is the key to the future clinical care for children with rare diseases and we are taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids to help fund ground-breaking research; advanced equipment; child and family support services and the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities to deliver our Research Hospital vision.
