Hello :) This is us - Olivia and Gosia. Thank you for visiting our fundraising page and, hopefully, for your donation. 

As a part of our 40th birthday celebrations we have decided to do some good this year. Our plan was to go to Ibiza and get drunk (Olivia still claims it was supposed to be a yoga retreat) but one evening we spotted the Race The Sun event and we signed up for this in 5 minutes. 

As a team of 2 we will take part in this extremely tough dawn to dusk event in the Lakes where we will cycle 40 miles around the imposing Skiddaw mountain, canoe a 2-mile course on Derwent Water and finally run/walk up to the summit of Skiddaw on an 11 mile round trip to an altitude of 931m to raise money for this incredible cause which is Action Medical Research. They are the leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. At Action Medical Research they are determined to stop the suffering of babies and children caused by disease and disability. 

By supporting us, you are helping Action Medical Research to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases. With your help, we're determined to make a real difference to children's lives.
