Story

We're donning our walking shoes and taking on the Gower Peninsula. Thank you very much for your sponsorship, we really appreciate the support.

Are we bonkers...maybe! But we've all been affected by cancer and have seen the impact it's had on our loved ones. So we've decided to tackle 26.2 miles in order to ensure that Macmillan's vital services and information is there for people with cancer. Now more than ever this is needed, as many people are struggling to get the support and treatment they desperately need and are feeling the effects of the cost of living crisis on top of this.

£16 could help run the Macmillan Online Community forum for an hour. In this time 11 people affected by cancer can give emotional and practical support to each other at any time.

Just £31 could fund a Macmillan Nurse for an hour. They are special people who are experienced in providing cancer care, but more importantly they don't just treat the tumour but the whole person.

And £115 could support the Macmillan Energy Advice Team to run the Energy Advice service on their support line for an hour. In this time, they'll be providing advice on how people living with cancer can keep warm without the worry.

Thanks for supporting our fundraising. At Macmillan, we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are our worries. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
