Story

We are walking 23 miles from Rhossili to Bracelet Bay on the Gower.

Itinerary

Date – 17/08/19

Start Time – 0700

Finish Time – Approx. 1700

Start Location – Rhossilli National Trust Car Park

End Location – Castellamare Bracelet Bay Car Park

Total distance – approx. 23miles

Total Time - 8-10 hours dependant on speed, stops and
route

The route follows the Wales Coastal Path. There is a mixture

of terrain and surfaces from paved routes and roads to unpaved tracks. There
will be sections on the beach, up/down steps and the odd style. Climbing ropes
(hopefully) will not be required. The route has been broken down into 4
segments or legs:

  1. Rhosilli to Port Eynon – 7miles approx. 2-3
    hours
  2. Port Eynon to Oxwich Bay – 4.5 miles approx. 1-2
    hours
  3. Oxwich Bay to Pennard Cliff – 5miles approx..
    1-2 hours
  4. Pennard Cliff to Bracelet Bay 6.5 miles approx.
    2-3 hours

All Sections require some climbing and descending hills. The
distance will vary dependant on the state of the tide when we reach the Great
Tor (end of Oxwich). The 23 mile route will be spectacular and fulfilling but
also challenging and potentially difficult in terms of overall length and some
of the terrain.
